Please note that residents of Base Village elect representatives to the following special district boards:

  • Base Village Metropolitan District No. 2
  • Aspen School District
  • Snowmass Wildcat Fire Protection District
  • Snowmass Water & Sanitation District
  • Aspen Valley Hospital District
  • Colorado Mountain College
  • Colorado River Water Conservation District
  • Regional Transportation District (RTD)
  • Aspen Historic Park & Recreation District
  • Also, residents of Base Village also participate in the election of the Town of Snowmass Village Mayor (currently Bill Madson) and four at-large City Council representatives (currently filled by Alyssa Shenk, Tom Fridstein, Susan Marolt and Britta Gustafson).

    At the County level, residents also elect the county assessor, county clerk and recorder, corner, sheriff, surveyor and treasurer -- all to 4-year terms of office.

    Finally, at the state level, residents also participate in the election of the State Governor and, at the Federal level, the President and Vice President of the United States.
